Toby Pieters

OWNER & Managing director

Toby’s entrepreneurial spirit stems from his early days in the family ceramic tile business, where he became General Manager before turning 20. In 2014, he and his partner Dianne discovered Rahona Valley, igniting his passion for sparkling wine. Toby’s deep knowledge and enthusiasm are evident as he shares his love for wine with visitors to our winery.

Dianne Gardiner

OWner, Director Marketing & Sales

Dianne is a seasoned businesswoman who founded her own market research company in 2007. In 2014, she and Toby ventured into the wine industry with Rahona Valley. While not directly involved in winemaking, Dianne is the custodian of our brand, ensuring our wines reflect the essence of “Seriously. Good.”

She also serves as President of Beyond the Bays Tourism, supporting over 80 local tourism businesses.

Natalie Fryar

Chief winemaker

Natalie’s winemaking journey began at 14 with work experience at Hardys winery. Dubbed the “Queen of Bubbles,” she spent over 14 years at Jansz Tasmania, establishing it as a premier Australian sparkling wine producer. Today, she leads her own label, Bellebonne, co-founded Abel Gin, and consults for several wineries, including Pipers Brook Vineyard. Natalie joined Rahona Valley in 2018 as a consultant and became our Chief Sparkling Designer in 2019.

Alisdair Park

Senior winemaker

Alisdair’s passion for wine emerged during his time in Sydney’s events industry. After earning a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology from the University of Adelaide in 2013, he gained experience across Australia, Spain, and the UK. His tenure at Hardys, working on the Arras sparkling program under Ed Carr, and a vintage at the UK’s Nyetimber, honed his skills in cool-climate winemaking. Since 2021, Alisdair has been instrumental in producing top-quality wines at Rahona Valley.
