Give Cancer the Boot
Boot Scooting Breast Cancer Fundraiser at Rahona, Dromana
Friday 9th October | 7pm
Pull on your boots, bring your friends and join us at Rahona in Dromana for Give Cancer the Boot, a fun evening of boot scooting in support of breast cancer fundraising.
Led by Country Struts, the evening is designed for everyone — whether you already know a few boot scooting steps or have never tried it before.
Come along, kick up your heels and help us raise funds for a cause that is particularly close to the Rahona family.
Breast Cancer Touches So Many Families
Including ours….so for us, this fundraiser is personal. Seven years ago, Rahona co-owner Toby was shocked to receive a diagnosis of breast cancer. Male breast cancer is rare, accounting for only around 1% of breast cancer cases. Thankfully, Toby’s cancer was caught early and successfully treated, and today all is well.
His experience, along with the many friends and families who have also been touched by breast cancer, has made breast cancer awareness and fundraising especially meaningful to us, so this October we are bringing our community together for an evening that combines plenty of fun with an important cause.
Boot Scooting With Country Struts
Country Struts will lead the evening, taking guests through a fun session of country dancing and boot scooting.
You do not need any previous experience. Whether you are a regular on the dance floor or completely new to boot scooting, simply come along ready to have a go.
There will be plenty of laughs, a fun evening of dancing, as mush or as little as you like, while helping us raise funds for breast cancer. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to BCNA.
